Indication: Hemophilia A Condition: Minor hemorrhage |
Dose: Intravenous – 15 IU/kg loading dose to achieve factor VIII:C plasma level approximately 30% of normal Frequency: Then may administer half of loading dose once daily or every 12 hours Duration: 1-2 days if a second infusion necessary |

Indication: Hemophilia A Condition: Moderate hemorrhage or minor surgery |
Dose: Intravenous – 25 IU/kg loading dose to achieve factor VIII:C plasma level approximately 50% of normal Frequency: Then administer factor VIII:C 15 IU/kg intravenously every 8-12 hours Duration: 1-2 days to maintain plasma levels of factor VIII:C at 30% of normal; repeat dose once daily or every 12 hours for up to 7 days or until adequate wound healing achieved |
