Adult Dose

Indication: Hyperlipidemias
Age: Adult
Condition: Homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (HoFH), primary dysbetalipoproteinemia, hypertriglyceridemia, primary hyperlipidemia, or heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (HeFH)
Dose: Tablet – 10 or 20 mg
Frequency: once daily
Note: Dosage range is 10 mg to 80 mg once daily.
Indication: Hyperlipidemias
Age: Adult
Condition: Patients requiring LDL-C reduction greater than 45%
Dose: Tablet – 40 mg
Frequency: once daily
Note: Dosage range is 10 mg to 80 mg once daily.

Child Dose

Indication: Heterozygous Familial Hypercholesterolemia
Age: less than 10 years
Dose: Oral – Not established
Note: Safety and efficacy not established
Indication: Heterozygous Familial Hypercholesterolemia
Age: greater than 10 years
Dose: Oral – 10 mg
Frequency: once daily
Note: initially; titrate at 4-week intervals; not to exceed 20 mg by mouth once daily

Renal Dose

Condition: Renal impairment
Dose: Tablet – No dosage adjustment
Note: Renal impairment does not affect atorvastatin plasma concentrations. Renal impairment is a risk factor for myopathy and rhabdomyolysis. Monitor all patients with renal impairment for development of myopathy.
