Adult Dose

Condition: Mild to moderate infections
Dose: Oral – 500 mg
Frequency: 12 hourly
Duration: 10-14 days

Frequency: 8 hourly

Child Dose

Condition: Mild to moderate infections
Dose: Oral – less than 30 mg/kg/day
Frequency: divided every 12 hours
Duration: for 48-72 hours; for greater than or equal to 10 days for S pyogenes infections
Note: by mouth (oral)
Indication: Ear, Nose, & Throat Infections
Age: Child
Condition: Mild to moderate infections
Dose: Oral – 25 mg/kg/day
Frequency: divided every 12 hours
Note: by mouth (oral)

Renal Dose

Note: Depending on severity of infection; should not receive 875 mg
