Adult Dose

Indication: Hypercholesterolemia and Mixed Dyslipidemia
Age: Adult
Dose: Oral – 20-40 mg
Frequency: once daily in the evening
Note: May increase at intervals of 4 weeks to maximum 80 mg/day in 12 hourly divided dose. Contraindicated in active liver disease or unexplained transaminase elevations.

Child Dose

Dose: Oral – 20 mg

Note: dose may be increased at 6-weekly intervals

May increase the risk of myopathy and rhabdomyolysis
