Adult Dose

Indication: Immunosuppression in organ transplantation
Age: Adult
Dose: Oral – Initially, 10-15 mg/kg/day
Duration: starting 4-12 hours before procedure and continued for 1-2 weeks
Note: Usual maintenance: 2-6 mg/kg/day. Lower doses may be used when combined with other immunosuppressants.
Indication: Severe Atopic dermatitis, Psoriasis
Age: Adult
Dose: Oral – Initially, 2.5 mg/kg/day
Frequency: in 2 divided doses
Note: Reduce to the lowest effective dose once remission is achieved. Stop treatment if there is no sufficient improvement to maximum dose within 6 weeks. Maximum: 5 mg/kg/day.

Child Dose

Indication: Nephrotic syndrome
Age: Child
Dose: Oral – 6 mg/kg daily
Frequency: given in 2 divided doses

Storage
Sporium oral solution should be used within 2 months of opening the bottle and be stored between 15 to 30° C, preferably not below 20° C for prolonged periods, as it contains oily components which tend to solidify at low temperatures. A jelly-like formation may occur below 20° C, which is reversible at temperatures up to 30° C. Slight sediment may still be observed which does not affect the efficacy and safety of the product.
