Adult Dose

Indication: Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
Age: Adults
Dose: Tablet – 50 mg/500 mg or 50 mg/850 mg
Frequency: twice daily
Note: Based on the patient's current dose of Metformin, 1 tablet in the morning and the other in the evening. The recommended maximum daily dose is 100 mg Vildagliptin plus 2000 mg Metformin hydrochloride.
Indication: Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
Age: Adults
Dose: Tablet – Same doses as separate components
Note: Patients receiving Vildagliptin and Metformin from separate tablets may be switched to Combination of Vildagliptin and Metformin containing the same doses of each component.

Child Dose

Dose: Tablet – Not recommended
Note: Not recommended in patients less than 18 years of age

Renal Dose

Age: Male
Condition: Renal impairment with serum creatinine levels greater than 1.5 mg/dL (greater than 135 micro mol/L)
Dose: Combination – Not applicable
Note: This combination should not be used in patients with renal failure or renal dysfunction.
Age: Female
Condition: Renal impairment with serum creatinine levels greater than 1.4 mg/dL (greater than 110 micro mol/L)
Dose: Combination – Not applicable
Note: This combination should not be used in patients with renal failure or renal dysfunction.
Administration
  • Take with or just after food
  • Take at the same time each day
