Adult Dose

Clinical InformationAdministration Information
Age: Adult
Condition: No or minor metabolic stress and normal nutritional state
Dose: Injection – 0.10-0.15 g nitrogen/kg/day
Frequency: daily
Note: The dosage range 0.10-0.25 g nitrogen/kg/day corresponds to 15-35 ml amino acid intravenous/kg/day. In obese patients, the dose should be based on the estimated ideal weight. A maximum fluid supply of 40 mL/kg/day of parenteral nutrition solution, based on protein, should not be exceeded in adult patients.
Age: Adult
Condition: Moderate metabolic stress with or without malnutrition
Dose: Injection – 0.15-0.20 g nitrogen/kg/day
Frequency: daily
Note: The dosage range 0.10-0.25 g nitrogen/kg/day corresponds to 15-35 ml amino acid intravenous/kg/day. In obese patients, the dose should be based on the estimated ideal weight. Child Dose

Renal Dose

Dose: Protein – 0.6 to 0.8 g/kg
Frequency: Daily
Condition: Hemodialysis or continuous renal replacement therapy
Dose: Protein – 1.2 to 1.8 g/kg
Frequency: Daily
Note: Up to a maximum of 2.5 g/kg per day based on nutritional status and estimated protein losses

Amino Acid 8% should not be stored after the addition of other components. Do not store above 25°C. Do not freeze. Shelf Life: 36 months. Do not use Amino Acid after the expiry date. Do not use if the solution is cloudy or if the container is damaged. Keep out of the reach of children.
