Adult Dose

Indication: Adjunct in cortical myoclonus
Age: Adult
Dose: Oral – 7.2 g daily
Frequency: in 2-3 divided doses
Note: increased by 4.8 g/day every 3-4 days. Maximum dose: 20 g daily.
Indication: Cognitive enhancer in cerebrocortical insufficiency
Age: Adult
Dose: Oral – 2.4 g daily
Frequency: given as 2-3 divided doses
Note: Up to 4.8 g daily may be used in severe cases.

Child Dose

Age: less than 16 years old
Dose: not recommended
Age: greater than 16 years old
Dose: 50 mg/kg of body weight
Frequency: three divided doses
Note: Once the desired results has been obtained, reduce the initial dose by half.

Renal Dose

Condition: Renal impairment with Creatinine Clearance 50-79 ml/min
