Adult Dose

Indication: Chronic Immune Thrombocytopenic Purpura Age: Adult |
Dose: Tablet – 50 mg Frequency: once daily Note: Adjust to maintain platelet count greater than or equal to 50x109 /L. Wait for at least 2 weeks to see the effect of any dose adjustment prior to considering another adjustment. Platelet counts should be monitored at least weekly for 2-3 weeks after adjustment. Should not be used in Immune Thrombocytopenic Purpura patients with liver cirrhosis unless the expected benefit outweighs the identified risk of portal venous thrombosis. |

Dose: Tablet – 50 mg Frequency: once daily Note: Initial recommended dose. Do not exceed a daily dose of 100 mg. Wait for at least 2 weeks to see the effect of any dose adjustment prior to considering another adjustment. Platelet counts should be monitored at least weekly for 2-3 weeks after adjustment. |
