Adult Dose

Clinical InformationAdministration Information
Age: Adult
Condition: After each loose stool or vomiting
Dose: Prepared saline – 200-400 ml
Note: Daily dose should be equivalent to patients' fluid requirement for maintenance and replenishment of losses. During saline therapy normal food should be continued.

Child Dose

Age: greater than 10 years
Dose: Prepared saline – 200-400 ml
Frequency: after each loose stool or vomiting
Note: Daily dose should be equivalent to patients fluid requirement for maintenance and replenishment of losses; During saline therapy mother should not stop breast-feeding to their child
Age: 2 to 10 years
Dose: Prepared oral saline – 100-200 ml
Frequency: after each loose stool or vomiting
Note: Daily dose should be equivalent to patients fluid requirement for maintenance and replenishment of losses; During saline therapy mother should not stop breast-feeding to their child
Administration
  • Take with or without food
  • Dissolve completely in water
