Adult Dose

Indication: Opioid Dependence
Age: Adult
Condition: Prevention of relapse after opioid detoxification
Dose: by mouth – 25 mg initially
Frequency: once daily
Note: Observation for 1 hour after initial dose, then 50 mg once daily starting on day 2; used only after patient has been opioid-free for 7-10 days and after negative naloxone challenge; flexible dosing regimens can be employed to accommodate patient convenience or ensure compliance
Indication: Opioid Dependence
Age: Adult
Condition: Maintenance of abstinence
Dose: intramuscular – 380 mg
Frequency: every 4 weeks
Note: Administered in gluteal muscle; used only after patient has been opioid-free for 7-10 days and after negative naloxone challenge
