Adult Dose

Indication: As a mucolytic
Age: Adult
Dose: Effervescent granules or tablets – 200 mg
Frequency: three times daily
Indication: Paracetamol poisoning
Age: Adult
Condition: Loading dose
Dose: Oral – 140 mg/kg
Note: Given after gastric lavage or induction of emesis with ipecac syrup. Repeat dose if the patient vomits within 1 hour of administration.
