Adult Dose

Indication: Epilepsy
Age: Adult
Dose: Oral – Initially, 1 mg
Frequency: once daily at night
Duration: for 4 days, gradually increased over 2-4 weeks
Note: Maintenance: 4-8 mg/day. Maximum: 20 mg/day.
Indication: Panic disorder
Age: Adult
Dose: Oral – Initially, 0.25 mg
Frequency: twice daily
Note: Increased after 3 days up to 1 mg/day. Maximum: 4 mg/day.

Child Dose

Indication: Epilepsy
Age: Child: less than 10 years
Condition: Initial
Dose: Oral – 0.01-0.03 mg/kg/day
Frequency: 2 or 3 divided doses
Note: by mouth (oral); not to exceed 0.05 mg/kg/day; may be increased by no more than 0.25-0.5 mg every 3rd day until seizure control is achieved
Indication: Epilepsy
Age: Child: less than 10 years
Condition: Maintenance
Dose: Oral – 0.1-0.2 mg/kg/day
Frequency: 3 times daily
Note: by mouth (oral); Maximum: 0.2 mg/kg/day
