Adult Dose

Indication: Neuropathic pain, Postherpetic Neuralgia
Age: Adult
Dose: Oral – Initially, 150 mg/day
Frequency: in 2 or 3 divided doses
Note: may increase to 300 mg/day after 3-7 days. Max: 600 mg/day after a 7-day interval. All doses to be given in 2 or 3 divided doses.
Indication: Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathic Pain
Condition: Initial
Dose: Oral – 50 mg
Frequency: every 8 hours
Note: by mouth

Renal Dose

Condition: Haemodialysis
Dose: – 25-100 mg
Frequency: immediately after each 4-hour haemodialysis session
Condition: CrCl 30 to less than 60 ml/min
Dose: – 75 mg/day
Frequency: given in 2 or 3 divided doses
Note: Maximum: 300 mg/day
Administration
  • Can be taken with or without food
