Adult Dose

Indication: Postoperative pain
Age: Adult
Dose: Intravenous infusion or bolus injection – 75 mg
Frequency: may repeat after 4-6 hours if necessary
Duration: Maximum period: 2 days
Note: As diclofenac Sodium: infusion in glucose 5% or sodium chloride 0.9% (previously buffered with sodium bicarbonate) given over 30-120 minutes or as bolus injection.
Indication: Rheumatoid arthritis; Sprains; Strains; Tendinitis; Pain and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal and joint disorders; Bursitis; Acute gout; Dysmenorrhoea
Age: Adult
Dose: Intramuscular injection – 75 mg
Frequency: once daily
Duration: Maximum period: 2 days
Note: As diclofenac Sodium: injected into the gluteal muscle, may increase to 75 mg twice daily in severe conditions.

Child Dose

Age: 12 years and older
Dose: Tablet – 25 mg
Frequency: four times daily
Note: by mouth (oral)

  • Do not bandage treated area tightly
