Adult Dose

Indication: Severe, Recalcitrant Nodular Acne, Severe nodular acne unresponsive to conventional therapy, including systemic antibiotics
Age: Adult
Dose: Oral – 0.5-1 mg/kg/day
Frequency: divided twice daily
Duration: 15-20 weeks
Note: Hepatic impairment: Contraindicated.
Indication: Severe nodular acne with scarring or primarily manifested on the trunk
Age: Adult
Condition: very severe
Dose: Oral – up to 2 mg/kg/day
Note: As tolerated. Hepatic impairment: Contraindicated.

Child Dose

Age: less than 12 years
Dose: PO – Safety and efficacy not established
Note: Severe nodular acne unresponsive to conventional therapy, including systemic antibiotics

Dose: PO – 0.5-1 mg/kg/day
Frequency: twice daily
Duration: 15-20 weeks

Renal Dose

Dose: Reduce initial dose – 10 mg
Frequency: once daily
Note: Gradually increase to 1 mg/kg as necessary
