Adult Dose

Indication: Urine alkalinisation to prevent development of uric-acid renal calculi in the initial stages of uricosuric therapy for hyperuricaemia in chronic gout
Age: Adult
Dose: Oral – Up to 10 g
Frequency: daily in divided doses
Note: To be taken with a liberal amount of fluid.
Indication: Chronic metabolic acidosis
Age: Adult
Dose: Oral – 57 mmol (4.8 g sodium bicarbonate) or more
Frequency: daily as required
