Indication: Severe Hypertriglyceridemia Age: Adults Condition: as an adjunct to diet to reduce high triglyceride levels (greater than 500 mg/dL) |
Dose: by mouth – 2g Frequency: every 12 hours Note: take with food |

Indication: Cardiovascular risk reduction Age: Adults Condition: as an adjunct to maximally tolerated statin therapy to reduce risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, coronary revascularization, and unstable angina requiring hospitalization in adults with elevated triglyceride levels (greater than or equal to 150 mg/dL), AND established cardiovascular disease, OR diabetes mellitus and 2 or more additional risk factors for cardiovascular disease |
