Administration

Administer orally as a tablet once weekly, at approximately the same time each week, with or without food. The tablet should be swallowed whole and not crushed or chewed. For patients with severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance less than 30 mL/min) or end-stage renal disease requiring hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis, the dose should be reduced to 12.5 mg once weekly. No dose adjustment is generally required for patients with mild to moderate renal impairment or hepatic impairment. Safety and efficacy have not been established in pediatric populations, and clinical monitoring is advised when used in elderly patients due to potential age-related declines in renal function. Use with caution in patients with a history of pancreatitis.
