Adult Dose

Indication: Pain
Age: Adults
Dose: Oral – 500 mg initially, then 250 mg
Frequency: every 6 to 8 hours or 500 mg every 12 hours as needed
Note: Not to exceed 1250 mg/day naproxen base on day 1; subsequent daily doses should not exceed 1000 mg naproxen base
Indication: Pain
Age: Adults
Dose: Extended release – 750-1000 mg
Frequency: once daily
Note: May temporarily increase to 1500 mg/day if tolerated well and clinically indicated

Child Dose

Dose: Tablet – 500 mg initially, then 250 mg
Frequency: every 6 to 8 hours
Note: by mouth (oral), as needed; not to exceed 1250 mg/day naproxen base on day 1; subsequent daily doses should not exceed 1000 mg naproxen base

Renal Dose

Condition: Renal impairment: Creatinine Clearance less than 30 mL/min
Dose: Use not recommended
Note: Severe: Contraindicated.
