Adult Dose

Indication: Type 2 diabetes mellitus
Age: Adult
Dose: Oral – 0.5 mg
Frequency: before main meals
Note: Usual initial dose. Max dose: 16 mg daily. Hepatic impairment: May require longer intervals between dosage adjustments.

Condition: patients who have had previous hypoglycaemic treatment
Dose: Oral – 1 mg or 2 mg
Note: Initial dose. Max dose: 16 mg daily. Hepatic impairment: May require longer intervals between dosage adjustments.

Renal Dose

Condition: Renal Impairment with Creatinine Clearance 40-80 mL/minute
Dose: Dosage Form – No adjustments necessary

Condition: Renal Impairment with Creatinine Clearance 20-40 mL/minute
Dose: Dosage Form – 0.5 mg
Frequency: with meals
Note: Titrate slowly and monitor
