Indication: Monotherapy in Parkinson's disease Age: Adult |
Dose: Oral – Initially, 250 mcg Frequency: three times daily Duration: first 4 weeks Note: may increase by 750 mcg at weekly intervals for the first 4 weeks. Maximum: 24 mg/day. Higher dose may be necessary if used in conjunction with levodopa. Gradual withdrawal is recommended. |

Dose: Oral – 1.5 mg Note: Subsequent increments can be made in steps of 1.5 mg at weekly intervals up to 9 mg/day after the first 4 weeks. Usual dose ranges from 3-9 mg daily. Maximum: 24 mg/day. Higher dose may be necessary if used in conjunction with levodopa. Gradual withdrawal is recommended. |
