Adult Dose

Clinical InformationAdministration Information
Indication: Replacement therapy in primary immunodeficiency syndromes
Dose: Injection – Starting dose: 0.4-0.8 g/kg
Frequency: followed by 0.2-0.8 g/kg every 2-4 weeks
Note: To achieve IgG trough level of 4.6 g/L
Indication: Replacement therapy in myeloma or chronic lymphotic leukaemia
Condition: severe secondary hypogammaglobulinaemia and recurrent infections
Dose: Injection – 0.2-0.4 g/kg
Frequency: every 3-4 weeks

Child Dose

Clinical InformationAdministration Information
Indication: Primary immunodeficiency
Age: 2 years and older
Dose: Intravenous – 300 to 800 mg/kg
Frequency: Every 3 to 4 weeks
Indication: Chronic idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura
Age: Child
Dose: Intravenous – 400 mg/kg
Frequency: Daily
Duration: 2 to 5 consecutive days
Administration
  • For IV use only
  • Must be given slowly

May interfere with the immune response; these vaccines should be given at least 3 wk before or 3 mth after the admin of the immunoglobulins
