Adult Dose

Indication: Pre-exposure immunization
Age: Adults and Children
Dose: Intramuscular Injection – 1 ml
Frequency: Days 0, 7, 21 or 28
Duration: Followed by a booster dose one year later
Note: Thereafter, one injection every 5 years or when the titre is found to be less than 0.5 IU/ml.
Indication: Post-exposure immunization
Age: Adults
Condition: Non-immunized subjects, standard intramuscular regimen
Dose: Intramuscular Injection – 1 ml
Frequency: Days 0, 3, 7, 14, and 28 (1-1-1-1-1 regimen)

Child Dose

Indication: Rabies Pre-exposure immunization
Age: children and adults
Dose: Intramuscular injection – 1 ml
Frequency: Days 0, 7, 21 or 28
Duration: Followed by a booster dose one year later
Note: According to the WHO recommendations. Thereafter, one injection every 5 years or when the titre is found to be less than 0.5 IU/ml.
Indication: Rabies Post-exposure immunization
Condition: non-immunized subjects
Dose: Intramuscular injection – 1 ml
Frequency: Day 0: 1 injection, Day 3: 1 injection, Day 7: 1 injection, Day 14: 1 injection, Day 28: 1 injection
Note: Standard intramuscular (1-1-1-1-1) regimen. In case of severe (WHO category 3) wounds, rabies immunoglobulin should be administered as soon as possible with the first dose of rabies vaccine.
