Adult Dose

Indication: Thrombocytopenia
Age: Adults
Condition: Chronic liver disease and platelet count less than 40 x 10^9/L scheduled to undergo a procedure
Dose: Tablet – 60 mg
Frequency: once daily
Duration: 5 consecutive days
Note: Taken by mouth with food. Initiate dosing 10-13 days prior to the scheduled procedure. Patients should undergo their procedure 5-8 days after the last dose.

Dose: By mouth – 10 mg
Frequency: Once daily
Note: Max Dose: 20 mg per day

Age: 6 years and older
Dose: By mouth – 20 mg
Frequency: Once daily
Note: Max Dose: 40 mg per day

Renal Dose

Condition: Mild-to-moderate renal impairment (creatinine clearance greater than 30 mL/min)
Dose: No dose adjustment required
Note: Minimally excreted by the kidneys
Condition: Severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance less than 30 mL/min) or hemodialysis
