Dose: Ear drops – 3 to 4 drops Frequency: 1-2 times daily Duration: up to 5 days Note: into the affected ear |
For auricular use only, administer sodium bicarbonate ear drops by first warming the solution to room temperature. The patient should lie down or tilt their head so the affected ear faces upward, then instill 3 to 4 drops into the ear canal twice daily for 3 to 5 days. To ensure effective penetration, the patient should maintain this position for 5 to 10 minutes post-instillation. Avoid touching the ear with the dropper to prevent contamination. Use is contraindicated in patients with a perforated eardrum, ear inflammation, infection, or recent ear surgery. Discontinue use if irritation or dryness occurs, and do not use for longer than 10 consecutive days without medical advice. Discard the preparation four weeks after opening.
