Administer deucravacitinib orally as a 6 mg tablet once daily, regardless of food intake. Tablets must be swallowed whole and should not be crushed, cut, or chewed to maintain proper drug release. Prior to treatment initiation, evaluate patients for active or latent tuberculosis and ensure all age-appropriate immunizations are completed. Avoid the use of live vaccines during therapy. No dosage adjustment is required for patients with renal impairment or mild to moderate hepatic impairment; however, use is not recommended in patients with severe hepatic impairment (Child-Pugh C). Safety and efficacy have not been established in pediatric patients under 18 years of age. Always monitor for signs of infection during treatment.
