Administer cyclizine orally as 50 mg tablets or via intramuscular or slow intravenous injection. Oral doses may be taken with or without food up to three times daily; for motion sickness, take 1 to 2 hours before travel. Intravenous injections must be administered slowly over 3 to 5 minutes to minimize risks of hypotension or transient paralysis and may be diluted with 0.9% sodium chloride or 5% glucose. For preoperative prophylaxis, administer the dose 20 minutes before the end of surgery. Use with caution in patients with hepatic impairment, renal impairment, or glaucoma. This medication is generally intended for adults and children over 6 years, with specific dose reductions for pediatric populations.
