Administration

Apply a thin layer of ruxolitinib topical cream twice daily to affected skin areas, ensuring the total body surface area treated does not exceed 20 percent for atopic dermatitis or 10 percent for non-segmental vitiligo. This medication is for cutaneous use only and must not be applied to ophthalmic, oral, or intravaginal mucosa. Patients should wash their hands after application unless the hands are the treatment site, and treated skin should not be washed for at least two hours. For atopic dermatitis, use is restricted to patients 2 years and older, with a maximum weekly dose of 60 grams for those 12 and older or 60 grams every two weeks for children aged 2 to 11. In non-segmental vitiligo, it is indicated for patients 12 years and older with a maximum of 60 grams per week. Do not use with occlusive dressings or in combination with therapeutic biologics or other JAK inhibitors. Treatment should be discontinued if atopic dermatitis symptoms do not improve within 8 weeks or if vitiligo repigmentation is not meaningful by 24 to 52 weeks.
