Indication: Severe Gram-negative infections resistant to gentamicin and tobramycin Age: Adult |
Dose: Injection – 15 mg/kg daily Frequency: in equally divided doses injected every 8 or 12 hours Duration: 7-10 days Note: Maximum: Up to 500 mg every 8 hours in life-threatening infections. Maximum cumulative dose: 15 g. Doses may be given via intramuscular, slow intravenous injection over 2-3 minutes or intravenous infusion. |
