Adult Dose

Indication: Treatment and prophylaxis of haemorrhage
Age: Adult
Dose: Intravenous – Initially, 4-5 g as a 2% solution
Frequency: followed by a 1 g/hour infusion
Duration: over 1 hour followed by infusion continued for up to 8 hours or until bleeding has been controlled
Note: Maximum: 24 g in 24 hours.
