Adult Dose

Indication: Hypertension
Age: Adult
Dose: Oral – Initially, 10 mg
Frequency: once daily
Note: First dose given preferably at bedtime to avoid precipitous fall in blood pressure. Maintenance: 20 mg once daily, up to 80 mg/day may be given if needed.

Condition: Renovascular hypertension, volume depletion, or severe hypertension

Child Dose

Dose: Oral – 0.07 mg/kg
Frequency: once daily
Note: up to 5 mg once daily. Initially, 0.07 mg/kg.

Renal Dose

Age: Adult
Condition: Renal impairment: Creatinine Clearance less than 10 mL/min or on dialysis
Dose: Tablet – 2.5 mg
Frequency: once daily
Note: Initially. Dose can be adjusted up to maximum 40 mg once daily based on patient's response.

Dose: Tablet – 2.5-5 mg

NSAIDs (Ibuprofen, Naproxen, Diclofenac, Celecoxib, Meloxicam, Indomethacin, Piroxicam, Ketorolac)
May increase risk of renal function deterioration and decrease antihypertensive effect
