Dose: Intravenous – 20 mg/kg (maximum 1.4 g) Duration: over 4 hours Note: Maintenance infusion started after 8 hours. Loading dose should not be given if patient received quinine, quinidine, halofantrine or mefloquine during the previous 12 hours. |
