Adult Dose

Clinical InformationAdministration Information
Indication: Menopausal hormone replacement therapy
Age: Adult
Dose: Oral – 0.5-3 mg
Frequency: daily
Duration: for 1 month followed by 0.5-1 mg daily
Note: Or 0.25-2 mg daily in combination with other natural oestrogens. A progestogen is required if administered to women with a uterus.
Indication: Infertility due to cervical hostility
Age: Adult
Dose: Oral – 0.25-1 mg/day
Duration: on days 6-15 of the menstrual cycle
Note: Increase dose each month until an optimal effect is obtained.

Child Dose

Clinical InformationAdministration Information
Indication: Osteoporosis, osteomalacia, rickets, tetany, and parathyroid disease
Age: Adult
Dose: Tablet – 500 mg Calcium and 200 IU Vitamin D3
Frequency: twice daily
Note: 2 tablets daily or 1 tablet twice daily; best taken with or just after a meal to improve absorption
Indication: Osteoporosis, osteomalacia, rickets, tetany, and parathyroid disease
Age: Adult
Dose: Tablet – 500 mg Calcium and 400 IU Vitamin D3
Frequency: twice daily
Note: 1 tablet twice daily; best taken with or just after a meal to improve absorption
Administration
  • May be taken with or without food
  • Take at same time daily
